Our Story
M&D Global Foods GmbH was founded in 2018 in Karlsruhe, Germany. Our journey did not begin in a shop or warehouse, but from our home basement, where we worked with passion and purpose to serve people who needed access to authentic ethnic food.
In our early days, we supplied refugee camps, churches, community groups, and private individuals. Some customers received deliveries, while others collected food directly from our home. From the beginning, our focus was clear: quality food, affordability, and respect for every customer.

In 2021, we opened our first physical shop in Beiertheim (Karlsruhe). Due to increasing demand and strong community support, we later moved to a more accessible location.
Today, our flagship retail store is located at Karlstraße 39, 76133 Karlsruhe, serving a diverse and growing customer base.
From Retail to Wholesale – Professional Expansion
As our popularity increased, SMEs, restaurants, and retailers began sourcing from us regularly. To operate efficiently and professionally, we separated retail and wholesale operations.
We established a dedicated wholesale warehouse in Forchheim-Rheinstetten, enabling reliable bulk supply, professional logistics, and structured B2B partnerships.
Our wholesale, import, and export activities operate under M&D Global Foods GmbH, focusing on the import and export of authentic ethnic foods from around the globe.
Our Mission
To connect people to their ethnic food, culture, and sense of home — and to put smiles on faces through food.
As we grow, our responsibility grows with us. We support NGOs and community organisations globally, organise community food testing programs, and introduce African food and culture to nurseries and schools through educational cooking experiences.
